Within the framework of the new approach which consists of grouping students coming from different rural zones within a single school, instead of operating through satellite classes within school groups that have not given satisfaction, the governor of the Sidi Bennour province, El Mostapha Draiss, proceeded, Friday, November 14, 2014, in the rural commune of Bni Tsiris, Caidat Aounat, to the inauguration of the third community school of the province.
The new establishment, named "Taha Abderrahmane," is composed of ten classrooms, two multimedia rooms, ten administrative offices, a library, a boarding school with a capacity of eighty beds, twenty sanitary blocks, a sports field, four staff accommodations, eight teacher accommodations, and an electrification production station. This school will benefit students from several Douars of the rural commune of Bni Tsiris. These are students coming from one of the best schools in the province, "Project 5," but who had to travel more than 30 km per day to reach the school. "The inauguration of this school came at the right time to save us from long journeys and allow us to follow our schooling in better conditions," indicates a student among the 253 who have already returned to their classes. For the 2014-2015 school year, the students, whose number will be around 300, will be supervised by about fifteen teachers, it is specified by the concerned services of the provincial delegation of the Ministry of National Education (MEN) in Sidi Bennour.
"This new community school is a project carried by the Ministry of National Education, which took charge of its construction and equipment (...) Taha Abderrahmane is an establishment that covers an area of 10,000 m2 and whose work lasted eighteen months. The project required a budget of a little more than 17 MDH," declared to the newspaper "Le Matin" Mohamed Hajjaoui, provincial delegate of the MEN.
It should be specified that the inauguration of this community school is part of the execution of the measures of the emergency program relating to the extension of the educational offer, the fight against school dropout, the rationalization of human resources management, and the abolition of multi-level classes. This will make the provincial delegation of Sidi Bennour a pilot delegation in terms of community schools, but also in terms of the success of this experience since the first community school of the province in the rural commune of Bni Tsiris has given full satisfaction.
