The sharp-eyed detectives of the prefectural judicial police have put an end to the activities of a notorious alleged trafficker of psychotropic tablets, according to a police source.

A member of the prefectural narcotics brigade set a trap for this alleged supplier to small-scale dealers by posing as a buyer. The police then set up discreet surveillance of the agreed delivery location to take down this trafficker, who was arrested in possession of 1,930 tablets.

Members of the same brigade also succeeded in another crackdown as part of the fight against drug trafficking in all its forms, by apprehending another alleged supplier of psychotropics with one thousand tablets in his possession, which he was preparing to deliver to dealers in the Al Fida district.

In the same district, members of the narcotics brigade arrested two other psychotropic traffickers, who were subject to national search warrants, with 850 tablets in their possession, bringing the total of seizures made during these three separate operations to nearly four thousand tablets.
