Besides social issues and education, the health aspect is not left out regarding the problems that "invited themselves" to the provincial council meeting. Equipping the Hassan I Hospital of Tiznit with a medical scanner, due to its exorbitant financial cost which therefore puts its acquisition beyond the reach of the supervisory department, has long remained a pious wish for local officials. Numerous attempts made previously to collect the required sum have all ended in failure! From now on, patients will no longer be forced to be evacuated to the Agadir hospital to afford the services of this device; which will certainly have the merit of decongesting the premises of this service, which is subject to great pressure from demand. It is supposed to cover all the southern territories of the country in terms of needs for X-ray imaging produced by this important medical examination tool. In fact, the provincial council expressed its agreement for a partnership with the Ministry of Health, the INDH, the Regional Council of Souss-Massa-Drâa, the Tiznit municipal council, and a local benefactor, for the purchase of a medical scanner and the fitting out of the premises for this new service within the Tiznit hospital. The agreement concerns the mobilisation of a budget of 6,000,000 DH necessary for the realisation of this project.
