Consecration of the Amitié de Tiflet club
The Amitié de Pétanque de Tiflet club "CATP" won the 8th edition of the International Pétanque Tournament on Sunday, organised by the Stade Marocain club (3-4 May), under the honorary presidency of HRH Prince Moulay Rachid. The Tiflet triplet, composed of Aziz Hamouchen, Abdessamad Menkari, former world champions, and Rachid Habchi, was crowned champion, beating the triplet of the Moroccan Pétanque Sports Association, which includes Abdellatif Beqali, Omar Sghir, and Mohamed Beqali, in the final on Sunday. Some 300 triplets took part in this sporting event, representing four countries, namely Spain, France, the Netherlands, and Senegal, in addition to 64 Moroccan clubs, including 24 from the Gharb League and 40 representing the Saiss, North-West, and Chaouia Leagues.
