Within the framework of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), two partnership agreements were recently signed at the province headquarters between the real estate developer Falcom Construction, the companies Setanov “Miftaah El Khair” and MHF, as well as the Erragada Association for Development and Culture. The first agreement concerns the creation of a haemodialysis centre in the city of Settat to help the many people suffering from kidney failure. The overall budget for the completion of this centre, which will be built on a plot of land in the “Miftaah El Khair” subdivision with an area of 960 m², is 8.8 million DH, financed entirely by Falcom Construction.
The second partnership agreement signed between the Provincial Committee for Human Development (CPDH), the Settat Municipal Council, and the company MHF, a private actor, concerns the creation and equipping of a centre for people with disabilities and the visually impaired, for an investment of 5 million DH.
At the same time, an amount of 5.57 million DH has been allocated to two socio-sporting and socio-educational projects in the urban communes of El Brouj and Loulad (Settat province).
These projects, which were the subject of other agreements signed in Settat between the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Chaouia-Ouardigha Regional Council, the Settat Provincial Council, and the two urban communes concerned, aim to contribute, within the framework of the urban upgrading programme, to supporting the access of young people and children to sporting and leisure activities, as well as reducing delinquency among the targeted categories.
The first project concerns the construction of a local socio-sporting complex, category “F”, in El Brouj for an amount of 2.3 million DH, while the second aims at the completion of an integrated local socio-sporting centre, category “B”, in the Loulad commune, requiring a budget of 3.272 million DH.
Previously, and in the same vein, four partnership agreements relating to the completion of 4 projects to strengthen socio-sporting equipment and infrastructure in the city of Settat were signed between the regional, provincial, and municipal councils of Settat and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The first project aims at the creation of three local socio-sporting centres requiring a budget of around 7 million DH, financed jointly by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (3.4 million DH), the Regional Council (800,000 DH), the Provincial Council (100,000 DH), and the Settat Municipal Council (2.6 million DH).
The 2nd project concerns the construction of an indoor swimming pool in Settat requiring a budget of approximately 14 million DH, to which the Regional Council (1 million DH), the Ministry of Youth and Sports (7 million DH), the Provincial Council (100,000 DH), and the Municipal Council (5.9 million DH) contribute, which also undertakes to make a 3,000 m² plot of land available.
As for the 3rd project, it concerns the development of a sports field attached to the Settat municipal sports complex. This project will require a budget of approximately 6 million DH, divided between the Ministry of Youth and Sports (3 million DH), the Regional Council (600,000 DH), the Provincial Council (100,000 DH), and the Municipal Council (2.3 million DH).
Finally, the 4th project concerns the creation of a reception centre offering several services for accommodation, catering, sanitary and administrative units, and green spaces, as well as a meeting room. The cost of the project is estimated at 6 million DH, financed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (3 million DH), the Chaouia-Ouardigha Regional Council (600,000 DH), the Provincial Council (100,000 DH), and the Municipal Council (2.3 million DH).
