A campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of drug use was recently launched in Settat, at the initiative of the regional health delegation of Chaouia-Ouardigha. Organised in partnership with the provincial delegation of the Ministry of National Education of Settat, the city's Pharmacists' Union, and other stakeholders, this campaign, which will continue until 11 May, will take place in schools, hospitals, medical centres, and public squares. The operation aims to raise awareness among young people about the dangers threatening their physical and mental health, particularly in schools where a dozen middle schools and education centres are targeted, a medical source specified, adding that through this campaign, the organisers intend to mobilise the student population to raise awareness about the disastrous consequences of drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes, and the responsibility that falls upon everyone—young people, adults, educators, and parents—to combine their efforts to combat these scourges. This operation is supervised by pharmacists, doctors, nurses, school teachers, civil society actors involved in the health sector, and representatives of the National Mutual Aid, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and vocational training institutes.
