In the context of establishing a supervision system allowing caidats and administrative annexes a certain autonomy regarding local preventive intervention, the fight against incivility and petty delinquency, a territorial guard has been placed at the disposal of the gubernatorial authority of Settat to accompany local authorities in their daily mission of territorial management of administrative police and security. This guard is composed of approximately 300 elements and a material device of 30 vehicles (14 pick-ups, 14 vans, and 2 light trucks), with a preventive role consisting of interventions to prevent crimes, assist people in danger, and fight against petty delinquency such as public drunkenness, theft, or the fight against noise pollution. This entity will also be in charge of organising the activities of street vendors, executing the orders of the local authority within the framework of administrative police for the preservation of public order, and guaranteeing the safety, health, and peace of mind of citizens. The members of the territorial guard have received training to best accomplish their mission with professionalism and efficiency within the framework of respect for the law and human rights.
