Raising awareness among young people about the environment

It is 10 o'clock in the morning on this Saturday, May 24th. The young people of the "Badael" Association for Childhood and Youth are busy preparing their equipment. It is the "D-Day" set to carry out a major tree planting and cleaning operation in the neighbourhoods located near the Laâyayda Youth Centre. On the menu, there is also an awareness-raising action for children on the importance of preserving the environment. After gathering more than 50 participants, the young people divided into two groups. The first went around 11 a.m. to the Laâyayda Youth Centre. Objective: clean the surroundings of this structure and give it a new face. The young people first devoted themselves to painting the pavements and collecting rubbish, before tackling the planting of trees within the Youth Centre and in the neighbouring neighbourhoods.
