Disabled people and the Al Massira Neighbourhood Association protest in front of the province
The Al Massira Neighbourhood Association and the Annasr Association for the disabled decided, on Monday, November 5, 2012, to make their voices heard in front of the headquarters of the Safi province.Their demands were different, but the fed-up feeling was the same among all the protesters scandalised by the silence of local authorities and elected officials who are still slow to react.The inhabitants of the Al Massira neighbourhood, massively present at the sit-in, chanted slogans against "Hogra" (injustice/humiliation) and exclusion."We always perform the five prayers in the street, our neighbourhood excluded from the city's development project agenda is devoid of basic infrastructure and services despite our countless demands and the endless lying promises of the city councillors who can no longer convince anyone," an inhabitant told us, not without bitterness.The Al Massira Neighbou…
