Four conventions initialled in Meknes

On the sidelines of the SIAM in Meknes, the Crédit Agricole du Maroc (GCAM) group and the Office for Vocational Training and Promotion of Work (OFPPT) consolidate a partnership already sealed in 2009.

The Crédit Agricole du Maroc (GCAM) Group and the Office for Vocational Training and Promotion of Work (OFPPT) have consolidated their partnership, already sealed in 2009, by the signing, Friday in Meknes, of four framework conventions, on the sidelines of the 10th edition of the International Agricultural Exhibition in Morocco (SIAM 2015).

Signed by the CEO of GCAM, Tarik Sijilmassi, and the director general of the OFPPT, Larbi Bencheikh, these four conventions aim to develop a close partnership between the two institutions, open to the valorisation of human capital, continuing education, recruitment assistance, and access to financing for Very Small Enterprises (VSEs).

The first framework convention defines the conditions and modalities of the partnership for the development of continuing education, improvement, and assistance programmes for the benefit of the Crédit Agricole Group.

This convention concerns the realisation by the OFPPT of continuing education programmes adapted to the needs of GCAM staff, notably for the benefit of point of sale managers, customer account managers, tellers, and executive assistants at the national level.

The second convention relates to the implementation of training actions in Evening Classes for the benefit of Crédit Agricole Group employees in the specialities provided by the training establishments under the OFPPT with the objective of improving their skills.

For its part, the third specific convention aims at the improvement of entrepreneurship and regional development, through the implementation of promising and value-added projects.

This axis of collaboration is based on the proven experience of the OFPPT in terms of training in business creation and the desire of the CAM Group to bring its expertise and specific support to MSMEs, through the financing and accompaniment of young graduates with projects.

The last partnership sealed by the two institutions concerns the recruitment by Crédit Agricole of OFPPT graduates according to the Group's profile needs as well as the reception of OFPPT trainees for discovery or end-of-training internships in order to strengthen their professional skills and thus contribute to the development of their employability.

It should be remembered, in this sense, that the OFPPT-GCAM partnership dates back to 2009 and has already allowed the creation of 87 companies, thus generating more than 400 jobs.

Placed under the theme "Agriculture and food systems", this tenth edition of the SIAM aims to reflect and federate around the agriculture of tomorrow, through a broad scientific programme, international feedback in the sector, or even the signing of several structuring conventions during the first three days of the Exhibition, entirely reserved for professionals and agricultural actors.

This tenth edition of the SIAM promises to be in line with the successes recorded by the previous ones with already new records: more than 1,200 exhibitors will participate in this edition in which 59 countries will be represented.
