Successful multi-organ harvesting and transplantation at the Mohammed VI University Hospital in Marrakech
A team of specialists from the Mohammed VI University Hospital (CHU) in Marrakech recently carried out a multi-organ harvesting from a patient in a state of brain death and successfully performed transplant operations on several patients. This harvesting took place during the night of 13 to 14 October, a period coinciding with World Organ Donation Day celebrated on 17 October, highlights a press release from the Mohammed VI University Hospital in Marrakech. The Cardiac Transplantation Committee thus succeeded in transplanting the heart to a 14-year-old child suffering from cardiomyopathy.
