Barack Obama announces it will be held in Marrakech
The 5th edition will be dedicated to promoting investment in Africa; the Global Entrepreneurship Summit will take place on 20 and 21 November 2014 in Marrakech, as announced by US President Barack Obama
US President Barack Obama announced on Tuesday in Washington that the next annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit will be held on 20 and 21 November in Marrakech. This is the first time an African country has hosted this summit. The head of the US Executive made this announcement during his speech at the "US Africa Business Forum" in the presence of more than 40 African heads of state and government gathered in the US federal capital from 4 to 6 August, as part of the first US-Africa summit. In the joint statement that concluded the summit meeting between His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the US President last November, Barack Obama had expressed his appreciation to the Sovereign for his offer to host the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, it is recalled.
