Exploring the paths to a more human, more tolerant, and more sharing World March, far from the prejudices, fundamentalisms, racist acts, and xenophobia that are atomising today's world. Such is the objective of the "Café Politis" event. A meeting organised on the theme "Living together" by the Association Marocains Pluriels in partnership with the Marock’Jeunes association, and whose 21st edition will take place on Saturday the 27th at 7:00 pm, on the premises of the French Institute of Marrakech.
This meeting, which will be preceded by the screening of the film "Les Chevaux de Dieu" by director Nabil Ayouch, will see the participation of specialists from diverse backgrounds. The latter will bring their contributions to "Living together", which remains to be built, as it is true that the current world needs it more than ever.
Thus, the following will speak during this interesting event: Ludovic Pouille, Minister Counsellor at the French Embassy in Morocco, Driss El Yazami (President of the Moroccan National Human Rights Council), Nour Eddine Lakhmari (filmmaker), Elmehdi Elkourti (writer), and Narjis Aliane (President of the Feminist Student Youth).
Explaining the interest of this meeting, previously organised at the Sqala in Casablanca, the organisers specify that "this event is intended to be a place of speech where ideas and opinions on major societal subjects are confronted. Different generations and social classes cross paths there for a dialogue carried by great speakers".
Hence the interest in involving the public in the exchanges and dialogues initiated within the framework of this event. Indeed, the public will be invited to dialogue and exchange with the personalities present at this agora, exchanges relayed by the radio channel Hit Radio, a partner of the event.
It should be remembered that Marocains Pluriels is a non-profit organisation bringing together "Moroccans open to the world, Moroccans by blood or by heart, by birth or by adoption, from here and elsewhere... having in common the defence of the values of openness, tolerance, sharing, and the desire to contribute to the country's advancement towards modernity", as can be read on the association's website. This organisation has set itself the objectives of creating a "Movement" to convey, promote, and advance messages of diversity, dialogue, tolerance, and openness to the Other, to encourage youth to engage in the life of the city, to create debate in Moroccan society by expressing themselves on major subjects, and to contribute to the development and circulation of ideas.
To achieve these objectives, the association hosts various meetings like the Café Politis, which is an agora where Moroccans by blood and/or by heart meet to exchange and debate. This thus makes it possible to reduce the gap existing between the population and in particular the youth, the decision-makers, and the political class. On the model of "Literary Cafés".
