Parricide in Essaouira

Parricide in Essaouira

The peaceful city of Mogador has just been shaken by two parricides and an attempted assassination of a father.

The circumstances are not necessarily the same, but the victims have always been fathers, whether in Sidi Boulaalam, Taftecht or in Essaouira.

At Douar Lghaba of the rural commune of Sidi Boulaalam, a 22-year-old son killed his father by striking him with a stick on the head.

The second homicide took place in Taftecht at Douar Touajnat very precisely. The 14-year-old son, seized by a fit of hysteria in the face of the violence perpetrated by his father against his mother, dealt mortal blows to his victim who gave up the ghost on the spot.

The third incident occurred in Essaouira last week. An imam was the victim of an attempted assassination committed by his own son. This father, very respected and loved by the inhabitants, was hospitalised in an emergency at the Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah CHP where he received the necessary care.
