It's official. The presidency of Moulay Smail University has finally decided to stop one of the most abnormal situations. It has accepted the resignation of the dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques of Errachidia (FST). A resignation submitted eight months ago. In reality, the dean of the FST was always resigning. He had never admitted that he be reassigned to Errachidia. Students and teachers point out that the FST has always been without a dean. The establishment was managed remotely. Hence the dysfunctions on all levels: administrative, pedagogical, economic, and financial. The absence of the first person in charge of the Faculty at the workplace has a lot to do with it. Appointed in March 2008, the ex-dean who resides in Meknès, only made a weekly or sometimes monthly shuttle, to visit the establishment for which he is responsible. His presence in Errachidia is in fact limited to holding meetings of the establishment's council. Is he responsible for all that?

In July 2008, he had submitted his resignation from his post, only three months after his appointment! He had mentioned health reasons at the time. In the meantime, however, he acted as an effective dean, particularly with regard to appointments, staff permutations, in particular at the level of heads of services as well as at the level of bonus distributions! Logically, he should, according to several sources, have refrained from taking any strategic decision, and limited himself to managing current affairs and waiting wisely to be ''thanked''.
