Twinning of the city of Dakhla with Honolulu
Arriving in Dakhla on the evening of last Saturday, the Hawaiian delegation led by the former governor of the 50th US state, Neil Abercrombie, took advantage of Sunday to meet with the Wali and the elected officials of the Oued Eddahab-Lagouira region, before visiting the various points of economic and social interest as well as the surroundings of the city where tourist and sports structures are erected. On Monday morning, the Hawaiian delegation and the Moroccan members of the Morocco-Hawaii Friendship Association, surrounded by the Wali of Dakhla, the governor of Aousserd, the elected officials of the two provinces, and representatives of civil society in the region, attended the conference led by the former governor of the State of Hawaii, before proceeding to the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the representatives of the two cities of Dakhla and Honolulu.
