The delegation thus held a meeting with the Regional Human Rights Commission (CRDH) in Dakhla-Aousserd, devoted to the action and experience of this body in the field of human rights protection. This meeting, held in the presence of the president of the CRDH of Dakhla-Aousserd, Mohamed Lamine Semlali, was marked by the presentation of a report on the measures and mechanisms adopted by the commission for the protection of human rights at the local level. Emphasis was also placed on the measures recently undertaken by Morocco in terms of consolidating the rule of law, notably the decision on the government's rapid interaction with complaints received by the National Human Rights Council (CNDH) and its regional commissions and the proposals emanating from these bodies. The OHCHR delegation had held meetings last Tuesday in Laâyoune with members of the CRDH of Laâyoune-Es Smara and associative actors in order to learn about their experience in protecting and promoting the culture of human rights.
