The 2nd International Meeting of Dakhla will be held on 21 and 22 November on the theme "Dynamics of regional integration and prospective of territories in globalisation, compared international experiences", indicates a press release from the organising committee on Sunday.

Placed under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, the meeting is organised by the Association for Studies and Research for Development (AERED), the International Francophone Association for Economic Intelligence (AIFIE), and the Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris III University (ICEE), in partnership with the OCP Group and the Agency for the Promotion and Development of the Southern Provinces and Prefectures of the Kingdom of Morocco.

This event will see the participation of decision-makers, regional and international institutions, as well as eminent researchers and specialists in issues of regional integration and territorial foresight representing the five continents.

It will be marked by the presentation of the University-Enterprise Partnership Prize in its third edition, rewarding companies and universities that have distinguished themselves in the context of their cooperation in terms of innovation and action research serving competitiveness, as well as by the signing of an agreement for the creation of the Open University of Dakhla.

The event, which will be inaugurated by a conference on "new generations of regional integration in a global system in recomposition", will see the organisation of plenary sessions with the intervention of experts and regional officials, notably focusing on "globalisation in crisis and the emergence of new actors", "new forms of international crisis regulation", "regional integrations revisited in the light of the new global situation (EU, ASEAN, MERCOSUR, NAFTA, ECOWAS, UMA, GCC)".

The 2nd International Meeting of Dakhla is organised with the support of the Ministry of Higher Education, Executive Training, and Scientific Research, the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and New Technologies, the Region and Wilaya of Oued Eddahab-Lagouira, and the Dakhla City Council.
