In a sporting and cultural atmosphere in the middle of the "Triana" restaurant space, which is characterized by its harmony with the character of the city of Chefchaouen, and as part of its annual activities, the "Artistic Colors for Chess" association organized a regional friendship chess tournament on Saturday and Sunday, January 18 and 19.
The tournament, which was held according to the "all-play-all" method, was characterized by a speed of play of 50 minutes with an addition of 10 seconds for each move, and witnessed a distinguished participation from several regional associations specializing in chess:
The Youth Association from Tetouan, the Tangier Union Association, and the Artistic Colors Association from Chefchaouen, as well as the Communication Association from Tangier.
This activity was not limited to sports competition only, but was an opportunity to strengthen the ties between the participating associations, amidst an atmosphere full of brotherhood and sportsmanship, with a cultural and aesthetic background that reflected the charm of the city of Chefchaouen and its distinguished position in hosting various events.
At the end of the tournament, the organizing association distributed symbolic and motivational prizes to all participating players, in appreciation of their skills and high sportsmanship.
It is noteworthy that such activities contribute to promoting the sport of chess in the region and encouraging young people to practice this mental sport, which carries many benefits.
