More than 115 MDH mobilised by the INDH

Projects financed by the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) between 2005 and 2011 in the Boujdour province reached 178 projects for a total envelope of 115,448,284 MDH.

Statistical data from the social action division of the Boujdour province showed that the projects, which the INDH financed to the tune of 55,544,133 MDH, concerned the consolidation of infrastructure, the construction and rehabilitation of social and health centres, profitable activities, the facilitation of access to social services and facilities, social, cultural and sports animation and support for local skills and training.

The projects, which benefited 40,000 people, are divided into three programmes that aimed at the fight against social exclusion in urban areas, support for actions that have a considerable impact at the provincial level and the fight against vulnerability and marginalisation.

Residents of the Al Wahda and Allal Ben Abdellah neighbourhoods benefited from 39 projects for a total amount of 22.907 MDH, including 19.501 MDH from the INDH, within the framework of the fight against social exclusion in urban areas.

To meet the needs of people in vulnerable situations, 20 projects were financed to the tune of 18 MDH (16.774 MDH from the INDH) to carry out the programme to fight against vulnerability and marginalisation, which is likely to allow for family and socio-professional integration, the improvement of the quality of services and the equipment of reception centres.

Regarding the horizontal programme, data from the social action division highlighted the financing of 119 projects for a total amount that exceeded 74.259 MDH, including 19.268 MDH as the contribution of the INDH.
