This operation, set up by the Italian NGO Progetto Mondo Mlal, made it possible to present the actions carried out so far within the framework of this project and to exchange a certain number of experiences in the matter. 'Children on the Move' is a project co-financed by the European Union and implemented in several provinces, notably in Beni Mellal, Khouribga, Nador, and Tangier, areas that account for the highest number of migrants to Europe. The objective of this project consists of the prevention of clandestine migration of unaccompanied minors, through the sensitisation of children and adolescents to the risks of illegal migration. The project seeks to promote a culture of responsible migration and to protect the rights of migrants through the engagement of civil society, institutions, and social groups. The cooperation officers will learn about the results of 'Children on the Move', as well as the experimentation of didactic units and the daily activities of the media libraries (drawing workshop, debate, orientation support, human rights...). The initiative includes the establishment, in several provinces, of 25 media libraries within educational organisations for adolescents and young people (schools, Youth Houses, National Mutual Aid centres). The training of staff in partner structures is also on the agenda, which will contribute to giving minors the desire to stay on their native soil. Among the project partners: the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) of Tadla Azilal, the Spanish NGO Asamblea de Cooperacion Por La Paz (ACPP), the Ahlam association of Tangier, the Thissaghnasse association for culture and development (Asticude) of Nador, and the Zakoura Education Foundation.
