It was in a good-natured atmosphere that a charter for tourist ambassadors (greeters) was signed recently in Azrou, as part of the partnership agreement signed between the city of Blois and the city of Azrou in July 2011.
The second training-action session for tourist ambassadors of the Azrou and Ifrane destination was thus an opportunity for the city of Blois, the Azrou commune, and the Ifrane Provincial Tourism Delegation to approve and sign this document, which will allow the signatory parties to act as ambassadors for the other city and ensure its good representation.
The said training-action was also devoted in its second edition to the consolidation of the ambassadors' network and its operationalisation as an association, to the assessment of actions already undertaken since the first session, the establishment of promotional tools for the network, and the validation of the action plan for the year 2014.
The role of ambassador is open to any Ifranais by residence or by heart who wishes to share their passion for their province. Becoming a tourism ambassador means promoting the tourist offer of Ifrane to one's personal and professional circle, boosting the attendance of tourist sites, enhancing the image of the province, and taking ownership of its heritage and sharing it.
On the same occasion, the tourist ambassadors paid tribute to two writers who highlighted the Ifrane tourist destination, namely Zahra El Basri Naqrachi, author of the book "Ifrane, wonder of the Middle Atlas" and Hassan Saddadi, author of the book "Ain Leuh, a village at the gates of the Middle Atlas".
