Ait Baha factory certified ISO 50001 v2011

The Ciments du Maroc factory in Ait Baha has just added a new certification to its list of achievements. Indeed, after having obtained the Quality and Environment certifications, according to the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, the factory has obtained the certification of its Energy Management System according to the ISO 50001 v2011 standard following the audit by the AFNOR organisation. It thus becomes the first cement plant in Morocco to obtain the Energy Management System certification. “It is a first in Morocco and one of the rare distinctions in the world, which reinforces the will of Ciments du Maroc and its parent company, Italcementi, in their efforts undertaken to excel in terms of energy efficiency,” declares Mohamed Chaibi, Chairman and CEO of the cement group.
