Ambassadors visit the Aïn Béni Mathar thermo-solar power plant

Ambassadors accredited to Rabat visited, on Sunday, at the end of a tour in the south of the Oriental region, the integrated combined cycle thermo-solar power plant of Aïn Béni Mathar, in the province of Jérada.The diplomats from about fifteen countries in Africa, Europe, Asia and Latin America followed on this occasion explanations on this project, inaugurated in May 2010 by HM King Mohammed VI and which is part of the integrated development programme of the Oriental region.At the end of this visit, several diplomats said they were impressed by the efforts made by Morocco in the field of renewable energies and by the innovative nature of this project with a strong environmental dimension.
