An area located 42 kilometres west of "Setti Fatma" in the Marrakech-Safi region experienced a light seismic tremor with a magnitude of 2.8 on the Richter scale, at 1:04 PM this Sunday, local time.
According to data from global online earthquake monitoring services, the tremor was recorded at a depth of 12 kilometres, making its impact limited on areas near its epicentre, such as Oukaïmeden and Ourika. No material or human losses were recorded in this regard, according to initial reports.
This tremor is considered part of the natural seismic activity in the region, as small earthquakes with limited impact are a recurring phenomenon in these mountainous areas.
