Within the framework of the National Solidarity Campaign initiated by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, food distribution operations are being carried out for the benefit of needy people in different parts of the Khémisset province during this holy month, as Ramadan is a time conducive to social activities and gestures of solidarity towards the destitute. The launch of this operation took place on the eve of Ramadan at the level of the Khémisset municipality. The Ramadan 1437 operation thus benefited 853 people in urban areas and 10,947 in rural areas. The beneficiaries of this operation will each receive a basket consisting of 10 kg of flour, 2 sugar loaves, 5 litres of oil, and 250 g of tea.
This operation aims to further consolidate the notion of solidarity as a value rooted in the identity of the Kingdom and its religious heritage. This operation is driven by a desire to provide aid to destitute people, notably widows, the elderly, and people suffering from disabilities. The Ramadan operation is among the oldest and most important solidarity actions organized annually by the Foundation since its creation. It reflects the image and spirit of generosity of all Moroccan citizens who demonstrate, through similar actions, their attachment to their religious, cultural, and historical values.
Furthermore, it should be noted that a provincial commission has been created, whose role is to supervise the progress of this charitable operation. This commission is composed of several public bodies, notably National Mutual Aid, the Economic and Social Division of the province, the Royal Gendarmerie, the Delegation of the Ministry of Health, and that of the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs.
