The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened on a positive note on Friday, with its main index, the MASI, rising by 0.5% to 16,426.61 points (pts).

The MASI 20, grouping the 20 most liquid stocks, gained 0.56% to 1,333.57 pts and the MASI ESG, an index of companies with the best ESG rating published by Moody's ESG Solutions, advanced by 0.71% to 1,160.98 pts.

For its part, the MASI Mid and Small Cap, measuring the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, gained 0.49% to 1,716.36 pts, reports the MAP.

In terms of individual stocks, TGCC (+4.84% to 573.9 DH), Itissalat Al-Maghrib (+2.54% to 109 DH), Ib Maroc.com (+2.29% to 34.78 DH), SMI (+2.22% to 2,390 DH) and Sonasid (+1.91% to 1,172 DH) achieved the best performances.

Conversely, Cartier Saada (-3.93% to 33.51 DH), AtlantaSanad (-2.86% to 154.35 DH), Afric Industries (-1.93% to 303.05 MDH), Colorado (-0.82% to 60.5 DH) and Résidences Dar Saada (-0.69% to 115.5 DH) recorded the sharpest declines.

The previous day, the MASI had closed with a gain of 1.48%.
