The Casablanca Stock Exchange closed in the red on Tuesday, with its main index, the MASI, falling by 0.19% to 15,529.16 points (pts).
The MASI 20, an index grouping the 20 most liquid stocks, and the MASI ESG, an index of companies with the best ESG rating published by Moody's ESG Solutions, fell by 0.62% to 1,252.44 pts and 0.69% to 1,081.7 pts, respectively.
The MASI Mid and Small Cap, which measures the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, rose by 0.09% to 1,627.08 pts.
At the sectoral level, the "Distributors" (-2.42%), "Insurance" (-2.37%), and "Transport Services" (-1.92%) indices recorded the sharpest declines.
Conversely, the agricultural industry sector (+8.21%) posted the strongest increase, ahead of those of real estate participation and promotion (+2.79%) and transport services (+1.54%).
Trading reached more than 516.93 million dirhams (MDH), carried out essentially on the central "Shares" market and dominated by transactions on CMGP Group (78.03 MDH), Attijariwafa Bank (71.03 MDH), and Alliances Développement Immobilier (39.13 MDH).
Market capitalization exceeded 787.67 billion dirhams.
Regarding individual stocks, the sharpest declines were recorded by Rebab Company (-5% to 95 DH), Lesieur Cristal (-4.83% to 276 DH), Maghreb Oxygene (-4.44% to 258 DH), Wafa Assurance (-3.64% to 4,336 DH), and Bank of Africa (-3.01% to 203.1 DH).
Conversely, CMGP Group (+8.21% to 344 DH), Fenie Brossette (+7.45% to 114 DH), Oulmes (+5.81% to 1,305 DH), Résidences Dar Saada (+4.51% to 81.5 DH), and Zellidja SA (+4.22% to 126 DH) posted the strongest increases.
