The Casablanca Stock Exchange began its trading in the green on Wednesday, its main index, the MASI, progressing by 0.37 to 15,971.78 points (pts).
The MASI 20, grouping the 20 most liquid stocks, gained 0.44% to 1,296.79 pts and the MASI ESG, an index of companies with the best ESG rating published by Moody’s ESG Solutions, advanced by 0.2% to 1,116.19 pts.
For its part, the MASI Mid and Small Cap, measuring the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, gained 0.2% to 1,648.21 pts.
In individual stocks, SM Monétique (+5.54% to 305 DH), Cartier Saada (+4.29% to 36.5 DH), Cosumar (+2.4% to 213 DH), Sodep-Marsa Maroc (+1.96% to 615 DH), and Sothema (+1.89% to 942.5 DH) achieved the best performances.
Conversely, Stokvis Nord Afrique (-4.54% to 16.41 DH), SNEP (-3.26% to 623 DH), Involys (-2.48% to 98.3 MDH), CDM (-1.71% to 1032 DH), and Disway (-1.1% to 631 DH) recorded the sharpest declines.
On Monday, the MASI had closed with a gain of 0.05%.
