The Casablanca Stock Exchange closed in the red on Friday, its main index, the MASI, falling by 0.02% to 14,721.45 points (pts).
The MASI 20, an index grouping the 20 most liquid stocks, fell by 0.12% to 1,191 pts, while the MASI ESG, an index of companies with the best ESG rating published by Moody's ESG Solutions, rose by 0.04% to 1,041.73 pts.
Against the trend, the MASI Mid and Small Cap, which measures the performance of small and medium-sized companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, gained 0.38% to 1,498.8 pts.
At the international level, the FTSE CSE Morocco 15 and FTSE CSE Morocco All-Liquid indices ended with respective gains of 0.05% to 13,779.65 pts and 0.02% to 12,384.3 pts.
At the sectoral level, the "Leisure & Hotels" (-1.94%), "Engineering and Industrial Equipment Goods" (-1.23%), and "Health" (-0.95%) indices recorded the sharpest declines. Conversely, the "Chemistry" sector (+1.54%) posted the strongest rise, ahead of "Financing Company and Other Financial Activities" (+0.9%) and "Agricultural Industry" (+0.84%).
Trading reached approximately 450.5 million dirhams (MDH), carried out mainly on the central "Shares" market and dominated by transactions on CMGP Group (83.3 MDH), Attijariwafa Bank (41.7 MDH), and Jet Contractors (20 MDH).
Market capitalization exceeded 753.5 billion dirhams (MMDH).
In individual stocks, the sharpest declines were recorded by Maghreb Oxygène (-9.92% to 234.15 DH), Stokvis Nord Afrique (-5.63% to 15.76 DH), Promopharm (-5% to 950 DH), S2M (-3.81% to 240 DH), and Stroc Industrie (-2.27% to 43 DH). Conversely, Jet Contractors (4.05% to 1,800 DH), SMI (+2.9% to 2,059 DH), Salafin (+2.59% to 554 DH), Fenie Brossette (+2.47% to 109.95 DH), and SNEP (+2.41% to 594 DH) achieved the best performances.
