Complaint against the president of the Tidili rural commune

Complaint against the president of the Tidili rural commune

Women from the Douar Akni Ouaziz of the Tidili rural commune, Ighrem Caidat, falling under the province of Ouarzazate, have filed a complaint against the president of their commune. In the letter addressed to the King's Prosecutor General at the Court of Cassation in Rabat, of which Libé holds a copy, these women say they are surprised by the attitude of the president who does not cease to declare in the sight and knowledge of the inhabitants of the said commune that "prison is made for the poor and not for the rich". They simply ask that justice be done. In the missive sent to the King's Prosecutor of the capital, the said women recall that they had received on June 6, 2012, a letter from the King's Prosecutor bearing the number CH308--165-12-2013 informing them of the decision taken on April 19, 2012, by the Court of Cassation, namely the rejection of the appeal presented by the president of the commune, Taieb Ajri, who had been sentenced on appeal to one month in prison, a fine of 500 DH, and payment of court costs. Except that this case opposing certain inhabitants to the president of their commune will experience a rebound. In order to gain more time and evade the application of the judgment pronounced against him, the president of the commune presented an appeal for a second time on February 15, 2013. A manoeuvre that succeeded, due to his high-placed relations and influence which have led, until now, to the non-application of the judgment. At the end of their letter, the plaintiffs ask the King's Prosecutor General at the Court of Cassation in Rabat to take appropriate measures in accordance with the law.
