Ciments du Maroc consolidates its position with the acquisition of Asment de Témara and Grabemaro

Ciments du Maroc, a subsidiary of the German group Heidelberg Materials, announces the completion of the acquisition of two major players in the construction materials sector in Morocco: 62.62% of the capital of Asment de Témara and 99.99% of that of Grabemaro.
This strategic operation follows the agreement signed in September 2024 between Heidelberg Materials Holding SARL and Votorantim Cimentos. The transaction amount is 262.4 million dollars, subject to adjustment according to contractual terms.
With this takeover, Ciments du Maroc strengthens its foothold in the national market by integrating into its portfolio a cement plant with an annual capacity of 1.4 million tonnes, eight concrete plants (510 m³/h), and two aggregate production units totalling 1.6 million tonnes per year.
