An individual, who attempted on Thursday afternoon to rob a bank branch on Boulevard Abdelmoumen in Casablanca, has been arrested, it was indicated by a police source.
The suspect (M.N), with no prior criminal record, wanted to seize the money deposited in the bank's counter. He was equipped with a schoolbag containing bladed weapons, gloves and adhesive tape, specified a source at the Casablanca police prefecture.
The accused, who failed in his attempt, was injured at the time of his arrest, as was the branch security guard.
He was placed in police custody on instructions from the public prosecutor's office, while the investigation continues to elucidate the circumstances of this attempted robbery.
Furthermore, two people broke into a bank branch located in the Ennahda district in Témara on Friday morning. They broke the windows using an iron bar, before getting their hands on two computer screens and a printer.
Arrested the same day by elements of the city's judicial police brigade, they were placed in police custody to deepen the investigation before their presentation to the justice system.
