According to Sport and Mundo Deportivo, the signing could happen as early as January, as negotiations are very advanced. The 28-year-old player could arrive at zero cost, as his contract with Leverkusen expires in June. Barça, which has been targeting Tah since the last summer transfer window, could thwart the competition from other giants such as Bayern Munich or certain English clubs.
Jonathan Tah, endowed with a good aerial game and a strong personality, could be central to the upcoming sporting project of Hansi Flick, and would push other Barça players such as Andreas Christensen and Eric Garcia towards the exit.
Everything indicates that the defender would be the club's first summer recruit with a five-year contract in the pipeline.
🔵🔴 Barça keep advancing in talks to sign Jonathan Tah, as reported already in November. Negotiations are progressing well to make it happen.

The deal is only being discussed on free transfer for July 2025 with Hansi Flick also involved… not for January.
