Passenger traffic up by 29% in May
Passenger traffic at Fès-Saiss airport recorded a strong increase of 29% in May, compared with the same month last year.
The airport thus welcomed 76,279 passengers in May, a result obtained thanks to the increase in the number of Low Cost companies that currently serve the Fès-Saiss airport. After Ryanair, Easy Jet, Jet Air Fly, Air Arabia, Correndair, the Spanish company Vueling inaugurated, on 19 May, the Barcelona-Fès route, at a rate of two frequencies per week. In addition to passenger traffic, the number of commercial movements (593) increased by 34.16% in May. More than 700,000 passengers passed through Fès-Saiss airport in 2012 and airport officials are counting on a traffic of 950,000 passengers in 2013.
