In a Douar in the Sidi Brahim commune, in the region of the ochre city, Marrakech, lives Hadj Mohamed, a septuagenarian, enjoying a good reputation, pious, whom everyone respects. He was at home, on this day in May, when his married daughter came to visit him. With her mother, he welcomed her warmly. They had lunch together while informing them that she was going to spend the night with them.

However, around 5 pm, they heard violent knocks at the door. The mother opened it. It was a nasty surprise. The gendarmes had come for the daughter. Hadj Mohamed asked them for explanations. But the head of the brigade invited him to accompany them to the station to find out why his daughter was being arrested. In fact, she is accused of attempted homicide by poisoning her husband.

Since her marriage, a few months ago, this young woman had been experiencing an ordeal she had never imagined. Her husband often abused her and treated her like a maid. He never considered her as a wife who should share life in peace with him. He insulted her for the slightest reason. In short, he behaved like a sadist. As the weeks went by, she could no longer bear his aggressive behaviour. Since then, she thought of taking revenge by murdering him. And that is what she did a few days later. She bought rat poison which she mixed with yoghurt.

While they were sharing the same bed, she put a few spoonfuls of the poisoned yoghurt into his mouth. The husband swallowed them deliciously. After which, she asked him to go out together. He accepted. Both went out hand in hand. All of a sudden, the young husband began to suffer from a pain that twisted his intestines. He fell to the ground. And the young wife abandoned him to take the road to her parents' house. Curious onlookers alerted the civil protection and the husband was evacuated to the hospital.

Effectively, he was treated and saved from certain death. The doctor explained to him that he had been poisoned. An investigation was launched. The daughter was arrested and she told everything. Her father, who heard everything, turned back. But, far from his home, he bought a rope with which he ended his life.
