About Oualidia
Oualidia (pronounced "Walidia") is a little coastal village in Morocco situated between El Jadida and Safi.
El Oualid, the last sultan of the Saadian dynasty, gave his name to this seaside resort, one of the best protected on the north Atlantic coast. In the upper part of the town, one can still see some remains of his Kasbah, built in 1634.
Until the province of Sidi Bennour was created in 2009, Oualidia was part of the province of El Jadida.
