Spiritual journey in the "Sufi Nights"
The "Sufi Nights" organised from 8 to 15 June in the magnificent garden of Dar Tazi transport, every night, Moroccan as well as foreign listeners, to the confines of the Sufi songs of Morocco.
The "Sufi Nights", organised every evening from 8 to 15 June at Dar Tazi in the heart of the Fes Medina, as part of the Festival of World Sacred Music, offer a journey into the soul. These evenings, where "dikre", "samaa" and "madih" (hymns to Allah and the Prophet Sidna Mohamed) mingle, transport Moroccan and foreign listeners alike to the furthest reaches of Morocco's Sufi chants. Seated on carpets in the magnificent garden of Dar Tazi, the audience savours these good and magical moments with pleasure. Carried by the atmosphere, spectators participate in the Sufi chants with the singers of Tariqa Hassania (Laâyoune), Tariqa Habibia (Taza) and Tariqa Derkaouia (Azemmour), who have performed successively since last Saturday with interpretations imbued with sincere devotion.
