A medical caravan for the benefit of the populations of the Bourrous commune

The "Abouab Arrahma" (Gates of Mercy) Association organised, on 17 and 18 October, a multidisciplinary medical caravan for the benefit of the populations of the Bourrous commune, falling under the Rehamna province. This solidarity operation is in line with the social activities carried out by the Association in favour of vulnerable strata in the Marrakech-Tensift-Al Haouz region and is intended to be the extension of other actions carried out by this entity for the benefit of destitute social fringes. A medical and paramedical staff was mobilised for the occasion with a view to allowing patients in this locality to benefit from a range of fundamental medical services, including specialised consultations, care and the distribution of medicines and corrective glasses free of charge.

This charitable action, which was intended to fight against inequalities in terms of medical services and to facilitate access to care for the disadvantaged populations of this region, benefited some 435 people, including children and the elderly. This initiative intends to draw a smile on the faces of the inhabitants of these remote areas by facilitating their access to health services and allowing everyone to return home with a treatment adapted to their pathology. The caravan was also used to raise awareness among mothers and children about the virtues of breastfeeding, infant body hygiene and oral hygiene. For the president of the Association, Najiba Boujane, this proximity operation is likely to strengthen the capital of solidarity actions undertaken by "Abouab Arrahma" and to bring care services closer to the populations.
