Hassani culture at the service of sustainable development

The Oued-Eddahab-Lagouira region hosted the 3rd edition of the "Tiris" Festival from 14 to 16 December under the theme "Hassani culture at the service of sustainable development".Organised under the High Patronage of His Majesty the King by the Tiris Association in coordination with the Ministry of Culture and local authorities, this festival, essentially dedicated to the celebration of local heritage as an integral part of Moroccan culture, aims in particular to contribute to the preservation of authentic Hassani cultural heritage, considered one of the components of national identity and one of the tributaries of Moroccan culture, and to pay tribute to nomadic culture by understanding the various aspects of the daily life of the Sahara population.Over three days, this festival, which saw the participation of 12 musical troupes from the southern provinces as well as 28 local poets, was…
