This small village, located almost at the extreme north of the Middle Atlas range, is a rural commune falling under the province of Sefrou, Fez-Boulemane region of Morocco.

The inhabitants of Aderj, originally Berber and called the Ait Alaham, are spread over 3 geographical areas: Dir, El Oued, and Tafajight.
