At the Douar Draou, in Sidi Moumen Laqdime, officers from the 1st police district apprehended a drug dealer in possession of a significant quantity of hashish, a police source reports.

The suspect was caught by officers during a routine patrol while he was in the company of his supplier, who managed to escape.

A search warrant has been issued for the latter, the same police source specified, adding that the arrested drug trafficker is a repeat offender who has previously served prison sentences for the same offence.

Upon being searched, two knives, two mobile phones, and a sum of money were seized from the suspect. This twenty-six-year-old, single drug dealer has been brought before the correctional chamber at the Court of First Instance in Casablanca.

Still according to the same police source, officers from the same police district have arrested seven drug dealers, 74 drug users, and two individuals for drug consumption and carrying bladed weapons since the beginning of the current month.
