In order to reach a large segment of the population, the AMG specifies that it has called upon sophisticated technological means, such as telemedicine via the internet to raise awareness, screen and thus avoid a large number of fellow citizens becoming blind.
On the sidelines of this event, the social ophthalmological centre of Ben M'sik in Casablanca will be opened, responsible for the treatment and monitoring of needy diabetics and glaucoma patients, the AMG indicates in a press release, stressing that this caravan, carried out in partnership with the Moroccan Diabetes Federation (FMD), will target 800 diabetics.
A partnership agreement will be initialled on this occasion between the AMG and the FMD with a view to coordinating their actions in the fight against diabetes complications throughout the national territory, according to the same source.

Fight against glaucoma: Medical caravan
