Casablanca – The Provincial Committee for Human Development (CPDH) of the Ain Chock district prefecture approved, on Thursday, during its first meeting of the year 2025, a total of 48 projects for a total cost of more than 1.9 million dirhams (MDH).
This meeting, chaired by the governor of the Ain Chock district prefecture, Mounir Hammou, allowed for the examination and approval of several projects included within the framework of the third programme of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH).
Among the adopted projects, 43 are dedicated to youth entrepreneurship, with total funding estimated at 1,588,000 dirhams. These projects are divided into 15 initiatives in the service sector and 28 in the digital sector.
The Committee also validated 4 projects in the field of social and solidarity economy, benefiting from a budget of 257,000 dirhams.
Within the framework of supporting women in vulnerable situations, a project in partnership with the National Union of Moroccan Women (UNFM) was adopted, with a budget of 100,000 dirhams.
Speaking on this occasion, the governor insisted on the need for rigorous implementation of the projects, placing emphasis on the acceleration of procedures, transparency in the allocation of funding, and post-realisation support for the projects.
"The INDH plays a crucial role in human development and the promotion of economic inclusion. The involvement of local actors and partners is essential to ensure the success and sustainability of the projects," he stressed.
Mr. Hammou also praised the efforts made by all stakeholders and urged the members of the Committee to continue their commitment to inclusive and sustainable human development, reiterating the importance of monitoring and evaluating the projects in order to guarantee their longevity and maximise their impact on the local population.
In a statement to MAP, the head of the social action division at the Ain Chock district prefecture, Hind Hanine, highlighted the particular attention paid during the meeting to young people without diplomas ("NEET").
Explaining that the focus was also placed on encouraging women, with a beneficiary rate of nearly 52%, Ms. Hanine specified that the approved projects largely concern young people without professional qualifications, testifying to the desire to promote their socio-economic integration.
In addition to the approval of the projects, the meeting was devoted to evaluating the impact of the youth platforms set up at the prefecture level, which have facilitated the completion of 327 projects since the launch of the third phase of the INDH in 2019.
