About Aïn Chock
Aïn Chock (in Arabic: عين الشق) is the only arrondissement included in the prefecture of the same name.
Aïn Chock has an area of 28.89 km², and its population, which grew from 188,118 to 253,600 inhabitants between 1994 and 2004, was estimated at 274,000 inhabitants in 2008.
It houses several establishments of the Hassan II University.
