The Moghreb of Tetouan (MAT) won with a score of 1 goal to 0 against the Egyptian club Al Ahly, Sunday evening at the Saniat R'mel stadium in Tetouan, in a match counting for the first leg of the round of 16 of the African Champions League of football.
The only goal of the match was the work of striker Mohcine Yajour in stoppage time (90+1st), thus bringing his total at the top of the ranking of the scorers of this trophy to 6 goals, one length behind the Raja of Casablanca player, Christian Osagona.
This victory will allow the representatives of the city of the White Dove to play under good auspices the return match, scheduled in two weeks in Cairo.
In the framework of the same competition, the Raja of Casablanca was held in check at home, earlier in the evening, by the Algerian team of Entente Sétif (2-2).
The goals of the Algerian team (title holder) were scored by Mohamed Benyettou (45+2 and 66th), while the goals of the greens were the work of Yassine Salhi (49th) and Adil Karrouchy (74th, penalty).
