The Moghreb Tétouan (MAT) school organised, on Sunday, a charity ceremony marked by the presentation of wheelchairs to children of needy former players.
In a statement to MAP, during this annually organised ceremony, the director of the MAT school, Abdelouahed Benhsain, indicated that this initiative, which is part of the tribute that the school pays to children with an excellent track record in sports and academics, aims to encourage the actions of players of different age categories at the local level, to concretise the values of solidarity and fraternity in society and to encourage openness to its social environment.
Iajour: MAT will defend its chances with a warrior spirit
The Moghreb Athletic Tétouan (MAT) will defend its chances with a warrior spirit during the 11th edition of the Morocco 2014 Club World Cup, affirmed MAT striker, Mouhcine Iajour.
The club's players have reached maturity and accumulated significant experience that allows them to start the competition with confidence, stresses Iajour in an interview granted to MAP, noting that there is no magic recipe to go far in the competition, and that the secret lies in an iron will to achieve the expected results and hoist the national colours high".
Regarding the chances of the White Dove club, Iajour noted that the participation of the Tetouanis in this international tournament testifies to the strength of the team, determined to approach the matches without any inferiority complex, especially since the club, champion of Morocco, is full of a constellation of players capable of creating a surprise.
MAT has a golden opportunity to repeat the feat of Raja Casablanca, runner-up of the 2013 edition, stresses Iajour, adding that the two goals he scored in the nets of FUS Rabat in the Pro Championship constitute a good dose of confidence that would allow him to sign a good performance and contribute to hoisting MAT onto the podium.
MAT, champion of the host country, will play its first Club World Cup against the New Zealand club Auckland City FC, in the opening of this 11th edition, on 10 December at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat. MAP
