The Tetouan judicial police arrested a person in the city on Monday who was the subject of 24 national arrest warrants for hard drug trafficking.

According to a police source, the suspect, who is also the subject of 36 search warrants for his involvement in hard drug trafficking (cocaine and heroin) across the country, was arrested during a police ambush in the Jamaa Mezwak district (Tetouan).

The case is currently being coordinated between the various police stations at the Wilaya level in Tetouan for further investigation, before being transferred to the competent judicial authorities, the same source stated.
