"Sunni Sufism: education, unity, and radiance", stems from several considerations given that Sunni Sufism is one of the religious and national constants of the Kingdom.
The work of the 4th edition of the annual moussem of traditional schools, placed under the sign of "Sunni Sufism: education, unity, and radiance", began, on Tuesday in Taroudant, with the participation of a galaxy of ulema, students of Quranic schools, researchers, and academics from different regions of the Kingdom.
The organisers of this scientific and cultural event, whose inaugural session was marked by the presence of the Minister of Habous and Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Toufiq, stressed that the choice of this theme stems from several considerations given that Sunni Sufism is one of the religious and national constants of the Kingdom.
The "Souss Foundation for Traditional Schools" aims, through the organisation of this moussem in partnership with several partners including notably the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs and the Supreme Council of Ulema, to address in a meticulous and scientific way the religious and national constants.
The work of this 4th annual moussem of traditional schools will be punctuated by a round table and scientific sessions, focusing notably on the different aspects of Sufism, its origins, and its specificities in Morocco and Andalusia.
This edition will also be marked by exhibitions of photos, documents, and manuscripts, in connection with traditional education in addition to competitions for the benefit of students of traditional schools in terms of jurisprudence, hadiths, and prophetic tradition and competitions in grammar.
