Mobilisation around cultural identity

Elected officials and associative actors, recently gathered in Taroudant, looked into the means to define and implement a local cultural strategy. Placed under the theme "Taroudant: Landmarks of an identity and hoped-for cultural role", the meeting was an opportunity to address all issues related to local cultural matters and, consequently, try to formulate recommendations constituting a roadmap to promote culture in Taroudant. The participants recommended providing the necessary support to serious cultural associations, developing cultural spaces, organising competitions for different literary genres, establishing partnerships relating to culture with other Moroccan cities, organising a book fair and creating literary cafés.
